Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Estimation Engineer to join our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation for Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction projects. You will play a critical role in analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring project feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate project budgets.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to gather necessary data for estimations.
- Prepare and present estimation reports to stakeholders for approval.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and market conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support bid preparation and submission processes for new projects.
- Work closely with project managers to track actual costs versus estimated costs.
- Provide technical guidance on estimation methodologies and best practices.
Skills & Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in estimation for Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction projects.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise cost calculations.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as CostX, Candy, or Primavera.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering drawings, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and specifications.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cost estimation within the Oil & Gas or Engineering sector.
- Professional certifications in estimation or project management (e.g., CET, PMP) are a plus.
