Key Responsibilities

As the Executive Chef (Offshore), your primary duties will include:

  • Menu Planning & Development: Design innovative and high-quality menus tailored to offshore clientele, ensuring variety, nutritional balance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet the highest culinary standards and guest expectations through rigorous taste and presentation checks.
  • Cost Management: Monitor kitchen expenditures, minimize waste, and optimize ingredient procurement to stay within budget.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to local food safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
  • Guest Engagement: Interact with guests to gather feedback and refine menu offerings based on preferences.

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education:

  • Higher Secondary education or equivalent.
  • Certification or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in offshore or high-end hospitality settings.
  • Proven expertise in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen operations.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Creative flair for modern and traditional cuisine.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of international culinary trends and dietary requirements.
  • Proficiency in kitchen safety and hygiene protocols.

Work Environment

This position is based offshore in The Pearl, Doha, Qatar, and requires working in a dynamic and high-pressure kitchen setting. The role may involve:
