Indman Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is seeking meticulous and experienced Finishing Carpenters to join our dynamic production team in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time position is ideal for skilled tradespeople with 1-3 years of specialized experience in high-quality, precision carpentry work. As a key member of our construction finishing department, you will be responsible for the final touches that define the quality and aesthetic of our premium projects. Key Responsibilities & Duties
Our finishing carpenters are the artists behind the final product. Your primary focus will be on detailed, precision-oriented tasks that require a steady hand and a keen eye for detail.
- Execute and install custom millwork, including crown molding, baseboards, chair rails, and wainscoting, ensuring seamless joints and perfect alignment.
- Construct, assemble, and install custom cabinetry, built-in furniture, and shelving units according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Perform fine finishing work on doors, windows, and staircases, including hanging doors, installing hardware (locks, hinges, handles), and fitting trim.
- Conduct on-site measurements and fabricate components to exact specifications, ensuring a perfect fit and finish in the final installation.
- Operate and maintain a variety of woodworking hand tools, power tools, and stationary machinery, such as table saws, planers, jointers, and routers, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Sand, finish, and apply stains, varnishes, lacquers, and paints to surfaces, achieving a flawless and durable final coat.
- Collaborate closely with site foremen, project managers, and other trades (painters, electricians) to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Perform quality control checks on your own work, identifying and rectifying any imperfections before final project handover.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite, adhering to all company safety protocols and industry best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in this carpentry role, you must possess a blend of formal training, hands-on experience, and a passion for craftsmanship.
Education & Certification
- ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Carpentry or a closely related field is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in woodworking, safety training, or specific machinery operation are highly advantageous.
Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven professional experience as a Finishing Carpenter or in a similar role focused on precision carpentry work.
- Demonstrable expertise in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and technical schematics.
- Advanced proficiency with both hand tools (chisels, planes, hand saws) and power tools (compound miter saws, jigsaws, nail guns).
- In-depth knowledge of various wood species, their properties, and appropriate applications, as well as composite materials like MDF and plywood.
- A strong portfolio or examples of previous finished work showcasing a high level of skill in joinery, trim work, and finishing.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
