The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fire protection systems, with a specialized focus on the installation and maintenance of electrical control panels that are critical to modern fire suppression and alarm systems.

You will be responsible for a wide range of technical tasks, from routine inspections and preventive maintenance to complex troubleshooting and emergency repairs of sophisticated fire fighting equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties
As a Fire Fighting Technician in Qatar, your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a safe working environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing detailed installation, testing, and maintenance of a comprehensive range of fire fighting systems, including water-based systems (sprinklers, hydrants, water mist), gas suppression systems (FM200, CO2), and foam systems.
- Expertly installing, wiring, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical control panels specifically designed for fire detection and suppression systems.
- Conducting regular and thorough inspections and preventive maintenance schedules on all fire safety equipment to ensure 100% operational readiness and compliance with NFPA standards and local Qatari regulations.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in fire pumps, alarm systems, detection sensors (smoke, heat, flame), and associated control circuitry efficiently and effectively.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date service reports, maintenance logs, and equipment records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Responding promptly and competently to emergency service calls and system breakdowns, minimizing downtime and potential hazards.
- Collaborating closely with the broader HSE team to conduct fire safety audits, risk assessments, and employee training sessions on fire equipment usage.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for system installations and upgrades.
- Managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance equipment to ensure all necessary resources are available for repairs and installations.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in this technically demanding role, the ideal Fire System Technician must meet the following criteria:
Essential Education & Certification
- An ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical trades is mandatory.
- Additional certification in Fire Safety or specific fire system training from a recognized institution (e.g., NFPA certifications) is a significant advantage.
- A valid Qatari driving license or the eligibility to obtain one is highly preferred.
Mandatory Professional Experience
- A solid 5-10 years of hands-on experience working as a Fire Fighting Technician, specifically within a manufacturing, industrial, or large facility management environment.
- Demonstrable, proven expertise in the installation and maintenance of electrical control panels for fire safety and security systems.
- In-depth knowledge of various fire suppression agents, detection technologies, and alarm system protocols.
- A strong track record of performing maintenance on fire pumps, valves, and piping networks.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
