Job Description

HR GLOBAL REACH is seeking a skilled Fitter GRP / RTR to join our Oil & Gas operations team in Kuwait City. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and Reinforced Thermosetting Resin (RTR) fitting, fabrication, and maintenance within industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain GRP/RTR piping systems and structural components.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure all fittings meet industry and safety standards.
• Operate hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment for GRP/RTR applications.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve structural or fitting issues.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard identification.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on GRP/RTR systems to prevent operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure material availability and compliance with project requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in GRP/RTR fitting and fabrication, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials, resin systems, and reinforcement techniques.
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and specialized installation equipment.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO) for GRP/RTR applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to work in demanding environments, including confined spaces or heights.

Education & Certifications:

• Doctorate in a relevant engineering or technical discipline (preferred).
• Certifications in GRP/RTR fabrication, welding, or composite materials (a plus).
• OSHA or equivalent safety training certification.
