Fluid Pump Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fluid Pump Operator to join our Operations team in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating high-pressure pumps and maintaining fluid systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is based in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, Oman, and offers a competitive salary range of 10-15 LPA.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-pressure fluid pumps to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on pump systems.
• Monitor fluid levels, pressure gauges, and flow rates to maintain operational efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and equipment upgrades.
• Record operational data, log issues, and generate reports as required.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of pumping equipment for projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• ITI certification or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Fluid Pump Operator in the Oil & Gas or similar industry.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining high-pressure pumps and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of welding, machining, or fabrication is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety standards like OSHA or API regulations.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Work Environment

This role requires on-site presence in Wadi Kabir, Muscat, and is not eligible for remote work. The job involves working in an industrial setting with exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable with shift work, including nights and weekends, if required.
