Job Description: FOC Inspector
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented FOC Inspector (Factory Operations Control Inspector) to join our Engineering department in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in inspection within the Oil & Gas sector and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of fabrication, welding, and assembly processes in accordance with approved procedures.
- Review and verify documentation, including material certifications, inspection reports, and test results.
- Identify and report non-conformities, defects, or deviations from project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Ensure all inspection activities are conducted safely and in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
- Participate in audits and provide support for continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduation or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in inspection roles within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, ISO).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, CWI) or related fields are a plus.
