Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Foreman Delivery to oversee and coordinate the timely and efficient delivery of goods in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with strong coordination skills to ensure smooth operations. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Delivery Teams: Lead a team of drivers and delivery personnel, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
- Coordinate Logistics: Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and reduce delays.
- Monitor Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of delivery vehicles and schedule regular maintenance.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that all deliveries comply with company policies and local regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Address delivery-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections.
- Inventory Management: Work with warehouse staff to ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods.
- Performance Reporting: Track team performance and provide regular updates to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Graduation/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in transportation, logistics, or a similar role.
Required Skills
- Coordination: Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams efficiently.
- Leadership: Strong supervisory skills to guide delivery personnel.
- Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making to resolve delivery issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for team and customer interactions.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with GPS navigation and logistics software.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Valid UAE driver’s license.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with occasional field visits to monitor deliveries. The position may require flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, depending on operational needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment.
