Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of insulation and refractory installation teams
• Plan and assign work schedules to meet project deadlines and production targets
• Oversee the installation of various insulation materials including ceramic fiber, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and refractory bricks
• Ensure all insulation and refractory work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
• Coordinate with other departments including production, maintenance, and quality control
• Monitor material usage and maintain inventory of insulation supplies and refractory materials
• Conduct regular quality inspections of completed insulation work
• Train and mentor junior team members in proper installation techniques and safety procedures
• Troubleshoot installation issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours
• Ensure proper handling and storage of insulation materials to prevent damage and contamination
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols for high-temperature insulation work
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers on technical specifications and project requirements
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

• ITI certification in relevant field (Insulation, Refractory, or Mechanical trades)
• Additional certifications in insulation installation or refractory work preferred
• Safety certification (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) highly desirable

Experience & Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in supervision of insulation and refractory installation teams
• Proven experience in industrial insulation application and refractory installation
• Strong knowledge of insulation materials, their properties, and appropriate applications
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with quality control procedures for insulation work
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills with proficiency in basic English
• Physical stamina to work in industrial environments and handle materials

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of heat transfer principles and thermal insulation requirements
• Experience with various insulation application techniques (blanket, board, loose fill, sprayed)
• Understanding of refractory installation methods for high-temperature applications
• Familiarity with safety standards for working with insulation materials
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
