International Overseas Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Piping Foreman to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role within the Oil & Gas industry demands a professional with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in site work execution, specifically in piping systems and related infrastructure. As a Foreman – Piping, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all piping installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Al Batha neighborhood, offering a competitive salary range of 5-8 LPA for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties
The Piping Foreman will play a critical hands-on leadership role, directly supervising a team of pipefitters, welders, and laborers. Your expertise will be essential in driving project success from the ground up.
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of piping crews on-site, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to project timelines.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and technical specifications to guide the team accurately.
- Oversee the installation, assembly, fabrication, and maintenance of various piping systems, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipes.
- Ensure all site work execution complies with stringent international codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API) and company-specific safety protocols.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a zero-incident culture and address potential hazards proactively.
- Manage the allocation of manpower, tools, and materials required for daily tasks, coordinating with the procurement and logistics departments.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on welds, supports, alignment, and hydro-testing to guarantee integrity and reliability.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress updates, manpower hours, equipment usage, and any issues encountered.
- Serve as the primary point of communication between the construction management team and the frontline workforce, ensuring clear understanding of goals and expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, fabrication, or maintenance phases promptly and effectively.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this Foreman – Piping role, the ideal candidate will possess a blend of formal education, practical experience, and proven leadership abilities in the Oil & Gas sector.
Education & Certification
- A Graduation degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
- Relevant certifications in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, AWS), NDT, or safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly advantageous.
Experience & Technical Skills
- A minimum of 3-5 yearsOil & Gas construction or petrochemical plants.
- Extensive, demonstrable expertise in all aspects of site work execution, including pipe fitting, welding support, rigging, and alignment.
- In-depth knowledge of piping materials, valves, fittings, and support systems used in high-pressure and high-temperature environments.
- Proficiency with construction tools, equipment, and methodologies, along with a strong understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
- Proven ability to read and decipher complex technical documentation and blueprints with a high degree of accuracy.
