Job Description

As a Forklift Operator at SMC Medical Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, you will play a critical role in our warehouse and production operations. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading/unloading shipments, and ensuring smooth logistics within our facility. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies.
• Load and unload shipments from trucks in a timely and safe manner.
• Inspect forklifts and perform basic maintenance checks before operation.
• Follow company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations at all times.
• Assist in inventory management by organizing and labeling materials.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet daily operational goals.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this Forklift Operator position should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in forklift operation with a valid certification (preferred).
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to workplace safety protocols.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform equipment checks.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Education & Experience:

• ITI or Diploma in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• 0-1 year of experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role within manufacturing.
