About the Role

Pioneer Travels is seeking experienced Furniture Workshop Supervisors to oversee our manufacturing operations in Ghantoot, Abu Dhabi. This critical leadership position requires professionals with extensive knowledge of furniture production processes, workshop management, and team supervision. As a Furniture Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring production efficiency, and managing a team of skilled craftsmen in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

This role demands hands-on supervision of daily operations while implementing best practices in furniture manufacturing, quality control, and workshop safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in the furniture workshop ensuring production targets are met efficiently
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpenters, upholsterers, and other workshop staff
• Monitor quality control throughout all stages of furniture production from raw materials to finished products
• Implement and maintain safety protocols in accordance with manufacturing industry standards
• Schedule production workflows to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Train and mentor workshop staff on proper techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
• Manage inventory of materials, tools, and equipment required for furniture manufacturing
• Coordinate with other departments including design, sales, and logistics to ensure seamless operations
• Maintain workshop equipment through regular inspections and coordinating maintenance as needed
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records of workshop activities
• Resolve technical issues that arise during the furniture manufacturing process
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Graduation in Furniture Design, Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in furniture workshop supervision or manufacturing management
• Proven track record of leading teams in a furniture production environment
• Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and furniture construction methods

Technical Skills

• Expertise in reading and interpreting furniture technical drawings and specifications
• Comprehensive understanding of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment operation
• Proficiency in quality control procedures specific to furniture manufacturing
• Knowledge of upholstery techniques, finishing processes, and material properties
• Familiarity with production planning and inventory management systems

Leadership Competencies

• Strong team management and personnel supervision capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to make decisions under pressure
• Effective communication skills with ability to coordinate across multiple departments

Working Conditions & Benefits
