Key Responsibilities
The General Foreman (Offshore) will be responsible for ensuring smooth offshore operations while maintaining safety and efficiency. Key duties include:
- Lead and manage offshore workforce to meet project schedules and deliverables.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless operations.
- Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Supervise daily activities, including equipment maintenance, crew assignments, and progress tracking.
- Resolve operational challenges and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Prepare and submit daily reports on work progress, manpower utilization, and potential risks.
- Ensure all offshore operations adhere to company policies and industry best practices.
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance team performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Education: Graduate or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in offshore operations within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in offshore workforce coordination, project execution, and HSE compliance.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in high-pressure offshore environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational challenges and implement corrective measures.
- Certifications: Must possess relevant offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, H2S Awareness, etc.).
