Job Description
As a Generator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of industrial generators used in Oil & Gas operations. You will ensure optimal performance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and adhere to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and gas-powered generators.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in generators.
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble generators for operational use.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize generator performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Work in outdoor or industrial environments, including remote sites.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years in generator maintenance, preferably in Oil & Gas or heavy industries.
- Strong knowledge of generator systems, diesel engines, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and using diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Physical stamina to work in demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
