Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Driver / Heavy Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles, ensuring safe and timely transportation of passengers or goods. This role requires adherence to traffic laws, vehicle maintenance, and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles (buses, trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently in compliance with local traffic laws.
• Transport passengers or goods to designated locations on schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, distances traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Follow designated routes while optimizing time and fuel efficiency.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license (Bus/Truck license).
• 1-3 years of proven experience as a Heavy Driver or Heavy Bus Driver.
• Higher Secondary education or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Physical fitness to handle long driving hours when required.
• Basic communication skills in English or Arabic.
• Punctuality and reliability in meeting schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in passenger transport (bus driving) is preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning.
• Customer service experience in a transport-related role.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role involves:

• Extended periods of sitting while driving.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Occasional lifting of heavy items (if applicable to goods transport).
• Flexible working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends as needed.
