Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Electrician to join our dynamic team in Madinat Khalifa North, Doha, Qatar. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment management and an ITI certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

As a Heavy Equipment Electrician, your primary duties will include:

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical malfunctions in heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, cranes).
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Performing preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Installing and upgrading electrical wiring, control panels, and other components.
• Testing circuits and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborating with mechanics and engineers for comprehensive equipment repairs.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and replacements.
• Ensuring adherence to company safety protocols and industry regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting heavy equipment electrical systems.
• Experience with AC/DC circuits, PLCs, and control systems.
• Ability to use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems integration.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication for team collaboration.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

• ITI Certification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment electrical repairs.
• Knowledge of local and international electrical codes.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is on-site and involves working in various conditions:

• Exposure to outdoor construction sites with potential dust, noise, and weather fluctuations.
• Frequent standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment parts (up to 25 kg).
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
