This critical role demands a skilled professional with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment management, preventive maintenance, and lubrication systems for large-scale construction machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our heavy equipment fleet through meticulous lubrication servicing and maintenance protocols.

If you have a Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and proven expertise with excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and other heavy machinery, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

As a Heavy Equipment Lube Man, your primary duty is to perform comprehensive lubrication and preventive maintenance on a diverse fleet of heavy equipment. Your daily tasks will be essential to minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency on a demanding construction site.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled lubrication services on all heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operation and post-operation inspections to identify potential fluid leaks, contamination, or wear-and-tear issues.

  • Accurately record all maintenance activities, fluid usage, and equipment conditions in maintenance logs and our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Manage lubrication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and properly storing oils, greases, and other essential fluids.
  • Adhere rigorously to all safety protocols, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with heavy equipment mechanics and operators to diagnose issues and schedule necessary repairs.
  • Collect oil samples for analysis and interpret results to recommend proactive maintenance actions.
  • Ensure all lubrication equipment, such as grease guns and fluid pumps, are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Stay updated on new lubrication technologies, products, and industry best practices for heavy machinery.

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria and possess a strong foundation in mechanical principles and heavy equipment care.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and lubrication charts.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to identify issues before they lead to equipment failure.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
  • A strong safety-first mindset and knowledge of OSHA or equivalent site safety standards.
