Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment management within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and equipment operating standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and equipment servicing.
• Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Test and verify repairs to ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.
• Source and recommend spare parts or upgrades for heavy machinery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: ITI Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA or equivalent safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Working Conditions

• This is an on-site role with no remote work options.
• Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and noisy environments.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when needed.
