Heavy Equipment Store Keeper Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Heavy Equipment Store Keeper to join our Logistics team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in inventory management, particularly with SAP Inventory Management, within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction sector. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of heavy equipment and spare parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all heavy equipment, tools, and spare parts using SAP Inventory Management.
• Receiving & Inspection: Inspect incoming shipments for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.
• Storage & Organization: Ensure proper storage of heavy equipment in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols.
• Issuance & Distribution: Distribute equipment and materials to authorized personnel while maintaining proper documentation.
• Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock audits to verify inventory accuracy and prevent shortages or surpluses.
• Reporting: Generate and submit inventory reports, including consumption trends and reorder recommendations.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all company and industry safety regulations to maintain a hazard-free storage environment.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and vendors for timely replenishment and dispute resolution.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Diploma or Graduation in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Store Keeper in the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
• Proficiency in SAP Inventory Management or similar ERP systems.
• Prior experience handling heavy equipment and spare parts.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to inventory handling.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems).
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a warehouse environment.
