Heavy Trailer Driver

Job Description

Al-Indad Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Heavy Trailer Driver to join our logistics and transport team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of construction materials and equipment across project sites. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in driving heavy trailers, possess excellent road safety awareness, and be committed to maintaining high standards of vehicle maintenance.

As a Heavy Trailer Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods, adhering to traffic laws, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trailers safely and efficiently to transport construction materials and equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company transportation policies.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and minimize fuel consumption.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the transport supervisor.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients regarding delivery schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience & Education

• 1-3 years of experience driving heavy trailers, preferably in the construction or logistics industry.
• Graduation or Diploma in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) or equivalent for heavy vehicles in Saudi Arabia.

Key Competencies

• Strong driving skills with a clean traffic record.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret route maps, GPS systems, and delivery documents.
• Excellent time management and punctuality.
• Physical stamina for long hours of driving and loading/unloading.
• Strong communication skills in English or Arabic (preferred).
