Job Description: Helper – Oil & Gas Construction – Quality Control

Job Overview

Asiapower Overseas Employment Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Helper to join our Oil & Gas Construction team in the Quality Control Department. This is a full-time position based in Muscat, Oman, requiring hands-on support to ensure adherence to industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and possess a diploma or graduation in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

As a Helper in the Quality Control Department, your primary duties will include:

• Assisting in the inspection and testing of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Supporting quality control inspectors in documenting findings and maintaining records.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained for accurate measurements.
• Monitoring construction activities to identify deviations from project specifications.
• Assisting in the preparation of quality reports and corrective action plans.
• Following safety protocols and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
• Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve quality issues.
• Performing routine checks on construction materials and reporting defects.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent).
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Helper or in a similar support role within the Oil & Gas Construction industry.

• Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of quality control processes in construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Certifications: Additional certifications in quality control or construction safety (preferred but not mandatory).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in demanding environments, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
