About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated HSE Engineer (Offshore Project) to join our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team in Doha, Qatar. This full-time position is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within our offshore operations in the Oil & Gas industry.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in offshore environments, and possess strong knowledge of HSE Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities

As an HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE Management Systems for offshore projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for offshore operations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations, including Qatar Petroleum and ISO standards.
• Monitor and audit offshore safety practices, reporting incidents and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents, preparing detailed reports.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE policies into project planning.
• Maintain records of safety inspections, drills, and emergency response procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in HSE Management Systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Knowledge of offshore safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH).
• Experience in risk assessment methodologies (HAZID, HAZOP, JSA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and training delivery skills.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar HSE qualifications is a plus.

Work Location

The role is based in Souq Waqif, Doha, Qatar, with frequent travel to offshore sites as required.
