Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Incharge to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time role within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry requires a professional with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Risk Management & HSE Compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Incharge will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring compliance with local and international HSE regulations. Key duties include:

HSE Management & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and oversee HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including incident reports, permits, and training records.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  • Perform risk assessments for operational activities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

Training & Awareness

  • Organize HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.

Environmental Stewardship

  • Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with waste management and pollution control regulations.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the company’s ecological footprint.

Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

Essential Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of HSE compliance and regulatory frameworks in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Proven expertise in Risk Management and hazard identification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in HSE software and reporting tools.

Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Graduation/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
  • Familiarity with UAE HSE regulations is a plus.
