HSE Officer Job Opening in Kuwait City

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to join our Maintenance Department in Kuwait City. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites, minimizing risks and promoting a safe workplace. This is a full-time position requiring 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local and international standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies regarding HSE compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training sessions.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across all project sites.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the construction industry.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
• Excellent risk management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in incident investigation and reporting.
• Effective communication and training delivery skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.
