Key Responsibilities and Duties

As our dedicated HVAC Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead on a variety of construction projects, from commercial high-rises to large-scale residential developments. Your core mandate will be to oversee all HVAC-related engineering activities, ensuring optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with all local UAE regulations and international standards.

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of all HVAC systems for assigned construction projects, including chilled water systems, VRF systems, ductwork, and ventilation.
• Perform detailed heat load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing using industry-standard software and methodologies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and review technical drawings, schematics, and BIM models (using AutoCAD & Revit MEP) in coordination with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
• Manage the procurement process for HVAC equipment, including preparing technical specifications, evaluating vendor quotations, and ensuring timely delivery to the project site.
• Provide on-site engineering support and supervision during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases, resolving any technical issues that arise.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and the highest quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including method statements, progress reports, commissioning reports, and as-built drawings.
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities to ensure all project requirements and regulations are met.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify that all HVAC installation work complies with the approved design specifications and project plans.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

Education & Certification

• A Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a directly related field is mandatory.
• Professional engineering certification (e.g., PMP, CEM, or equivalent) is a significant advantage.
• Up-to-date knowledge of ASHRAE standards, UAE mechanical code, and other relevant international codes and safety regulations.

Experience & Skills

• A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive, hands-on experience in HVAC design and project management, specifically within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple HVAC projects from initial design through to final commissioning and handover.
• Expert-level proficiency in performing HVAC load calculations using software such as HAP, Carrier E20, or similar.
• Advanced skills in computer-aided design and drafting, including high proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP for creating and reviewing detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong technical knowledge of various HVAC systems, including their application, controls, and integration with other building management systems (BMS).
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to technical excellence.
