Key Responsibilities & Duties

As an HVAC Technician with our maintenance department, you will be tasked with a variety of critical functions to ensure all HVAC and related mechanical systems operate at peak efficiency. Your daily duties will encompass preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and system optimizations.

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems, including split units, package units, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults within HVAC systems, employing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Execute repairs and replacements of defective components, parts, and systems, including compressors, motors, thermostats, sensors, and control boards.
• Carry out installation and commissioning of new HVAC equipment as per manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Monitor system performance using building management systems (BMS) and make necessary adjustments to optimize energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, service reports, parts inventory, and time spent on each job.
• Adhere strictly to all UAE safety regulations, company protocols, and compliance standards during all operations.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and breakdowns, providing effective and timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Liaise with clients, facility managers, and team members to provide updates on job status and technical recommendations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this technical role, the candidate must possess a blend of formal education, proven experience, and specific hard and soft skills.

Education & Experience

• A Graduation degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional, hands-on experience working as an HVAC Technician, preferably within the facility management or maintenance services industry.
• Proven track record in maintaining and repairing commercial and/or industrial HVAC systems.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• HVAC Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC principles, refrigeration cycles, and air distribution systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
• Tools & Equipment: Proficiency in using a wide array of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, gauges, leak detectors).
• Preventive Maintenance: Strong understanding of PM schedules and procedures to ensure system longevity.
• Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently.
