HVAC Technician

Job Description

Dewan Consultants is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Management team in Downtown Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of 5-8 LPA.

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial and residential properties. You will work closely with our maintenance team to uphold high standards of efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation ducts, and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and optimize HVAC system layouts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Dubai Municipality guidelines).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting emergency HVAC failures and provide timely resolutions.
• Operate hand and power tools, test equipment, and diagnostic devices safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates on work progress.

Requirements

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Graduation in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification from a recognized HVAC training program is preferred.
• Valid UAE driver’s license (if required for service calls).

Skills & Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in HVAC system maintenance, repair, or installation.
• Proficiency in HVAC system design, including load calculations and ductwork planning.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, refrigeration cycles, and pneumatic controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with HVAC tools such as gauges, vacuum pumps, and leak detectors.
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the Facilities Management sector in Dubai or the UAE.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and smart HVAC controls.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC solutions and sustainability practices.

Work Environment
