Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrotest Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in hydrostatic testing, pipeline integrity, and pressure testing within the Mechanical Engineering domain. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of 21-28 LPA.
Key Responsibilities
As a Hydrotest Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing hydrostatic testing operations to ensure pipeline and pressure vessel integrity. Your duties will include:
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising hydrostatic testing activities for pipelines and pressure systems.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
- Preparing detailed test procedures, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
- Analyzing test data and generating comprehensive reports.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineers, QA/QC, and project managers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during testing phases.
- Ensuring all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained to operational standards.
- Adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in hydrotesting, pressure testing, or pipeline integrity within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven expertise in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric diagrams.
- Familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and API 1104 standards.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in hydrostatic test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessel testing and pipeline systems.
- Experience with test equipment such as pumps, gauges, and data loggers.
- Competency in using engineering software like AutoCAD or similar tools.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
