Hydrotest Supervisors – Oil & Gas Industry

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hydrotest Supervisor to join our Quality Control team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience in hydrotesting operations, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards, and overseeing test procedures for pipelines, pressure vessels, and related infrastructure.

This role is based in Abu Dhabi and requires a strong understanding of industry regulations, safety protocols, and technical expertise in hydrostatic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate hydrostatic testing activities for pipelines, pressure vessels, and other critical infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Prepare detailed test procedures, reports, and documentation for client and regulatory approval.
• Monitor test equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and training on hydrotesting best practices.
• Identify and troubleshoot potential issues during testing, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in QA/QC Standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) is highly preferred.
• Valid safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in hydrotesting within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and pressure test specifications.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in high-pressure environments.

Key Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of hydrostatic testing procedures and equipment.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ASME B31.3, API 1104, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
