The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing environments with specialized expertise in quality control engineering and production process optimization.

As an In Process Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring manufacturing operations, implementing inspection protocols, and ensuring compliance with international automotive standards. This position offers an excellent compensation package of 10-15 LPA for qualified professionals who can demonstrate technical proficiency and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive inspection methodologies for automotive manufacturing processes
• Conduct real-time monitoring of production lines to identify quality deviations and process inconsistencies
• Establish and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, and corrective action plans
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality
• Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive measures
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability
• Train production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and process control measures
• Coordinate with suppliers to address quality concerns and implement improvement initiatives
• Implement statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor process stability and capability
• Ensure compliance with international quality standards including ISO/TS 16949 and customer-specific requirements
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, addressing findings and implementing improvements
• Develop and maintain process control plans, inspection instructions, and quality assurance procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Graduation degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience as Process Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Quality Engineer, or Inspection Engineer in the automotive industry
• Proven experience with automotive quality systems and manufacturing processes
• Strong background in metrology and precision measurement techniques

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measurement equipment
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with quality management systems and documentation
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
• Familiarity with statistical process control and quality metrics tracking
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards and customer-specific requirements
• Proficiency with measurement instruments including CMM, optical comparators, and surface plate inspection
