Job Description: Incharge / Lead S&WS (Health, Safety & Environment)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Incharge / Lead S&WS (Safety & Workplace Solutions) to join our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, implementing workplace safety solutions, and fostering a culture of safety within our Oil & Gas / Petrochemical operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles and a strong background in safety awareness and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Lead safety training programs for employees and contractors to enhance safety awareness.
• Investigate workplace incidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe work practices are followed across all departments.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, including permits, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of workplace safety solutions and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards such as OSHA, ISO 45001, and company-specific protocols.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the safety team, fostering a proactive safety culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

• Strong knowledge of safety awareness and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with employees, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to analyze incident reports and implement corrective and preventive measures.

Education & Certifications:

• Graduation or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly desirable.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry.
• Proven track record of implementing safety management systems and workplace safety solutions.
