Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Incharge / Lead S&WS (FG01712) to oversee welding and fabrication operations in the Oil & Gas industry. This full-time role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and requires a candidate with 5-10 years of experience in leadership and project execution. The ideal candidate will manage a team of professionals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Welding & Fabrication team for efficient project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor welding processes, inspect materials, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for welding and fabrication.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff to enhance team performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Leadership & Team Management – Ability to lead a diverse team in high-pressure environments.
- Technical Expertise – Proficiency in welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW) and fabrication processes.
- Problem-Solving – Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve operational challenges.
- Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Education & Experience:
- Graduation/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas welding and fabrication.
- Certification in CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent is preferred.
