Industrial Mechanic (Onshore Project)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our onshore project team in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs within industrial settings. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of industrial machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assemble, install, and test mechanical systems as per project requirements.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations for onshore projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and work orders.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical-mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for quality and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven expertise in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in industrial maintenance.
• Basic understanding of welding, fabrication, and machining.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Work Environment

This role is not remote and requires on-site presence at our onshore project facility in Doha, Qatar. The work environment involves exposure to industrial machinery, noise, and occasional outdoor conditions. Safety gear and protocols are strictly enforced.

Standard working hours apply, but flexibility may be required for emergency repairs or project deadlines.
