Job Description: Inspection/Corrosion Specialist
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Inspection/Corrosion Specialist to join our team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. This full-time role is within the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on Risk Management to ensure asset integrity and operational safety. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and a passion for maintaining high industry standards.
Salary Range: Competitive, starting at 30+ LPA (based on experience).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of pipelines, storage tanks, and other critical assets to identify corrosion or structural defects.
- Implement Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies to prioritize maintenance efforts.
- Document inspection findings and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, NACE, ASME).
- Monitor corrosion prevention systems and propose improvements.
- Assist in root cause analysis for equipment failures related to corrosion.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Graduation or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- 0-1 year of experience in inspection or corrosion management (entry-level candidates welcome).
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas infrastructure is a plus.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) principles.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools (e.g., ultrasonic thickness gauges, radiography).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards like API 510, API 570, or NACE certifications is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role is based on-site in Kuwait City (Kaifan area) and is not remote. Candidates must be prepared to work in industrial settings, including occasional field visits to oil rigs or refineries. Safety gear and training will be provided.
