Job Responsibilities

As a QA/QC Coating Inspector, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough inspections of coating applications on pipelines, structures, and equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., NACE, SSPC, ISO) and project specifications.
• Performing surface preparation checks, including abrasive blasting and cleaning.
• Monitoring coating thickness, adhesion, and curing processes.
• Documenting inspection results and generating detailed reports.
• Identifying defects and recommending corrective actions to contractors.
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure quality assurance.
• Reviewing material certifications and testing reports for compliance.
• Maintaining safety protocols and ensuring adherence to HSE guidelines.
• Participating in audits and quality control meetings.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the QA/QC Coating Inspector role will have:

• A Graduation or Diploma in Engineering, Corrosion Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in coating inspection within the Oil & Gas or Engineering & Construction industry.
• Certification from NACE, SSPC, or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and defect identification.
• Experience with inspection tools (e.g., DFT gauges, adhesion testers).
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following additional skills will have an advantage:

• Familiarity with paint inspection software and digital reporting tools.
• Exposure to offshore or refinery projects.
• Knowledge of corrosion prevention methods.
