Job Overview
G. Gheewala Human Resources Consultants is seeking an experienced Instrument Calibration Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role in the Oil & Gas industry involves ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement and control instruments. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in instrument calibration, strong technical skills, and a diploma or graduation in a relevant field.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation devices such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves.
- Develop and implement calibration procedures in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASTM).
- Maintain calibration records and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure instrumentation accuracy and reliability.
- Diagnose and repair faulty instruments to minimize downtime in operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies during calibration activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for calibration discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of calibration tools and equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in calibrating industrial instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
- Experience with calibration software and data management systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 17025, API, and NIST.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Familiarity with calibration tools like multimeters, pressure calibrators, and signal generators.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in instrument calibration, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Certification in Metrology or Calibration (e.g., CMCT, CLRT) is a plus.

- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
