Job Description
Ambe International is seeking a skilled Instrument Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to our operations in the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, a strong background in instrumentation engineering, and familiarity with Machine Learning applications in industrial settings.
As an Instrument Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation systems used in upstream and downstream operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain instrumentation and control systems for Oil & Gas facilities.
- Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of field instruments such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and control valves.
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize control strategies and improve system efficiency.
- Implement Machine Learning models to predict equipment failures and enhance predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISA, API, IEC) and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and P&IDs.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for instrumentation failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in procurement by evaluating vendor proposals and selecting appropriate instrumentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Graduation or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Instrument Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques for predictive maintenance is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Experience with calibration tools and software (e.g., HART communicators).
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISA, API, IEC).
- Understanding of Machine Learning applications in industrial instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
