About the Role
Mivian Indoglobal Management Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Inspector to join our dynamic team in Muscat, Oman. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with 3-5 years of experience in oil & gas inspection, ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of instrumentation systems in engineering and construction projects.
As an Instrumentation Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying the functionality of control systems, sensors, transmitters, and other instrumentation equipment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of instrumentation systems, including control valves, pressure gauges, flow meters, and safety devices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, IEC) and company safety protocols.
- Conduct calibration and functional tests on instrumentation equipment.
- Prepare inspection reports and document findings for regulatory and internal reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor installation, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Support commissioning and startup activities for new or upgraded systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Graduation or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation inspection within the oil & gas or engineering & construction industry.
- Proven track record in testing and calibrating industrial instrumentation.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and instrumentation standards (e.g., API 570, ASNT).
- Familiarity with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and other control systems.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Certification in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) is a plus.
Soft Skills

Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in Muscat, Oman, with occasional travel to project sites. The role may involve working in challenging conditions, including outdoor environments and confined spaces. Candidates must adhere to strict safety guidelines and wear protective gear as required.
