Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician (Testing) with expertise in machine learning applications for instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in testing and maintaining instrumentation equipment in the Oil & Gas sector. A Doctorate in a related field is required, along with hands-on experience in analytical problem-solving and system diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems (e.g., pressure transmitters, flow meters, control valves).
• Develop and implement machine learning models to optimize instrumentation performance and predictive maintenance.
• Conduct system diagnostics and analyze data to identify inefficiencies or failures.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and improve testing protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations (API, ISO, etc.).
• Maintain detailed documentation of tests, calibrations, and repairs.
• Train junior technicians on best practices for instrumentation testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in instrumentation testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS.
• Understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards (API, ASME, IEC).

Soft Skills:

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail in high-stakes testing environments.
• Strong communication for cross-team collaboration.

Education:

• Doctorate in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Instrumentation (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician).
• Experience with AI-driven diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
