Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, audit compliance, and risk management processes within the organization. This role requires a meticulous professional with a strong background in auditing, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector. A Doctorate degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial, operational, and compliance processes to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Identify risks and inefficiencies in business processes and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve internal control frameworks.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting standards, and audit best practices to ensure compliance.
• Assist in fraud investigations and forensic audits as required.
• Support external auditors during annual financial audits and regulatory inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in internal controls and audit compliance procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in auditing financial and operational data.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, risk management, and corporate governance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit projects simultaneously.

Education & Experience

• Doctorate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Engineering industry.
• Professional certifications such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) are a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and audit management software.
