IT Technician Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our IT Infrastructure team at the NEOM Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (KSA). The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of hands-on experience in computer hardware and software troubleshooting, network maintenance, and IT support. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
• Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related problems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity, including LAN/WAN, routers, and switches.
• Perform regular system backups and ensure data security protocols are followed.
• Assist in setting up workstations, servers, and other IT equipment as needed.
• Document IT procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with the IT team to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in computer hardware assembly, repair, and maintenance.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Familiarity with IT security best practices and antivirus solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot common software applications (MS Office, Adobe, etc.).

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for user support.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
