Seagull International LLP, a premier human resource consultant for the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced Jetting Leadman-Supervisor to lead our high-pressure water jetting operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal supervisory role demands a hands-on leader with extensive experience in petrochemical plant maintenance and cleaning procedures. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of hydro-jetting equipment, rigorous safety protocols, and crew management within challenging industrial environments.

As a Jetting Leadman-Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity and efficiency of critical oil and gas infrastructure. Your expertise in high-pressure water blasting, chemical cleaning, and surface preparation will be essential for maintaining operational excellence and adhering to the strictest health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards in the industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to advance their career in a dynamic and rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

The Jetting Leadman-Supervisor will be entrusted with a wide range of operational and leadership tasks. Your primary objective is to ensure all jetting and cleaning projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the jetting crew in the field, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to project schedules.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and breakdown of high-pressure water jetting (hydro-blasting) equipment, including pumps, hoses, nozzles, and automated systems.
  • Rigorously enforce all company and client-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, conducting daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Perform pre-job and post-job equipment inspections, ensuring all machinery is in safe working order and reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Execute complex cleaning procedures for pipelines, vessels, heat exchangers, and other petrochemical plant components using ultra-high-pressure water.
  • Manage inventory of parts, supplies, and consumables, placing orders as necessary to avoid project delays.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior operators, fostering a culture of safety and technical excellence.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between field crew, client representatives, and project management.
  • Complete all necessary job documentation accurately, including daily reports, safety sheets, and equipment logs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues swiftly to minimize downtime on project sites.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this demanding supervision role within the oil & gas / petrochemical industry, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education & Certification

  • A mandatory ITI certification (Industrial Training Institute) in a relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Mechanic, Instrumentation).
  • Certification in High-Pressure Water Jetting (e.g., WJTA, HCA) is highly desirable.

Experience & Skills

  • A proven track record of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in high-pressure water jetting operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadman or supervisory capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of petrochemical plant systems, cleaning methodologies, and maintenance workflows.
  • Demonstrable expertise in risk assessment, job safety analysis (JSA), and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain and repair jetting pumps and ancillary equipment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate a crew in high-pressure environments.
