Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machine Operator/Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Riyadh, KSA. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience operating lathe machines, with a strong understanding of machining processes, precision measurements, and machine maintenance. Knowledge of Machine Learning applications in manufacturing is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain lathe machines (CNC or manual) to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, materials, and machine settings for optimal performance.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on lathe machines.
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect finished parts.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to refine machining processes.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist in process optimization using Machine Learning insights, where applicable.
• Document production data, including cycle times, defects, and tool wear.

Skills and Qualifications

Required

• 1-3 years of experience as a Lathe Machine Operator or Machinist in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in operating CNC and/or manual lathe machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining techniques.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators).
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning applications in manufacturing (preferred).
• Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or related field.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg).

Preferred

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards.

Work Environment

This position is based in our manufacturing facility in Al Malaz, Riyadh, KSA. The role involves working in a shop floor environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial equipment. Safety gear (PPE) is required at all times.

Work Hours: Full-time, with potential overtime based on production demands.
