Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

As a Laundry Man, you will be at the heart of our facility's hygiene and presentation standards. Your expertise in laundry operations will ensure that all textiles are processed efficiently and to the highest quality. Primary Laundry Operations

• Operate and monitor industrial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment to clean, dry, and finish a high volume of linens, uniforms, and other fabrics.
• Sort incoming laundry by fabric type, color, and soiling level to determine the appropriate washing formula and cycle.
• Treat stains and heavily soiled items using correct pre-wash procedures and specialized cleaning agents.
• Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry for distribution to various departments, maintaining an efficient system.
• Perform quality checks on all cleaned items to ensure they meet established standards for cleanliness and presentation.

Maintenance & Inventory Management

• Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of linens, uniforms, and cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to the supervisor.
• Manage the stock of detergents, bleaches, and other chemical supplies, ensuring they are used correctly and stored safely.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.

Team Collaboration & Compliance

• Work collaboratively with the hotel, restaurant, or facility maintenance team to prioritize laundry needs and meet daily demands.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, health codes, and safety procedures related to laundry operations.
• Handle and dispose of chemical waste according to environmental and safety guidelines.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Minimum Education: School Leaving Certificate.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience working in a commercial, industrial, or hotel laundry facility is mandatory.
