Key Responsibilities

The Lead QA/QC – Piping will oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities related to piping systems in the Oil & Gas sector. Key duties include:

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for piping fabrication, installation, and testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
• Review and approve welding procedures, material certifications, and NDT reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
• Train and mentor junior QA/QC personnel to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC for piping systems in the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME B31.3, API 570, and other relevant standards.
• Certifications in CSWIP, AWS, or NDT Level II are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in using QA/QC software and tools.

Work Environment

This role is based in Doha, Qatar, and may require occasional site visits to project locations. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on safety and quality.
