Key Responsibilities
As a Lift Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and safety inspection of lifts and elevators. Your duties will include:
- Conducting routine maintenance and inspections of lift systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in lifts.
- Performing emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure passenger safety.
- Installing new lift systems and ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Testing lift control systems and making adjustments for optimal performance.
- Maintaining detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborating with facility managers and engineers to improve lift efficiency.
- Providing technical guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in lift control systems, including electrical and hydraulic components.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards for lift maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Physical fitness to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in lift maintenance and repair.
- Certification in lift installation or maintenance is a plus.
- Experience working with facility management teams is preferred.
Soft Skills:
