Job Overview
ASMACS, a leading provider of facility management and maintenance services in Qatar, is seeking a skilled and licensed Light Driver to join our team in Doha. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Qatar driving license and have 1-3 years of prior experience in a similar role.
This position involves transporting personnel, goods, and equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and traffic regulations. The role is critical in supporting our Maintenance Department, ensuring smooth operations across client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-assigned vehicles responsibly, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport staff, products, or equipment to designated locations promptly and securely.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (tire pressure, fuel levels, brakes, etc.) and report maintenance issues.
- Assist in loading/unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to scheduled routes or follow dispatcher instructions for efficient service delivery.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist with minor facility maintenance tasks when required.
- Follow emergency protocols in case of accidents or breakdowns.
Requirements
Education & License
- Valid Qatar driving license (Light Vehicle) is mandatory.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (higher qualifications preferred).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
Experience & Skills
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a light driver in Qatar.
- Familiarity with Doha and surrounding areas (GPS navigation skills a plus).
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (checking oil, tire pressure, etc.).
- Strong time management and punctuality.
- Ability to handle goods with care and follow safety protocols.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is an advantage).
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based in The Pearl, Doha. The job involves:
- Regular working hours with occasional overtime based on operational needs.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions while transporting goods or personnel.
- Collaboration with maintenance teams and facility management staff.
