Job Overview

JD Manpower Consultancy is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator with 5-10 years of specialized experience in the Oil & Gas industry for an exciting opportunity in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This full-time position based in Ghantoot requires exceptional coordination skills to manage complex supply chain operations in both onshore and offshore environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in petroleum logistics, transportation management, and supply chain optimization within the demanding energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Coordinator specializing in Oil & Gas operations, your primary duties will include:

• Coordinate and oversee all logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management for oil and gas projects
• Manage the end-to-end supply chain process from procurement to delivery of materials and equipment to both onshore and offshore locations
• Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to optimize costs while maintaining compliance with industry regulations
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of critical materials
• Monitor and track shipments using logistics software and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders
• Manage customs clearance documentation and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations for oil and gas equipment
• Optimize inventory levels through accurate forecasting and coordination with procurement teams
• Handle hazardous materials transportation in compliance with industry-specific safety standards and regulations
• Resolve any logistics-related issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
• Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs declarations
• Coordinate with on-site personnel for material handling, storage, and distribution at both onshore and offshore facilities
• Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental protocols in all logistics operations

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Graduation in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 5-10 years of proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator specifically within the Oil & Gas industry
• Extensive knowledge of oil and gas supply chain management, including both upstream and downstream operations
• Experience working with both onshore and offshore logistics operations is mandatory

Required Skills & Competencies

• Exceptional coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and hazardous materials handling
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles specific to petroleum and energy sectors
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
• Ability to prepare and analyze logistics performance reports and key performance indicators
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations in the context of oil field services
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry
