Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will be entrusted with a wide range of critical tasks to ensure the operational integrity of our facilities. Your expertise in supervision and electrical systems will be paramount to success.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Directly supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of skilled electricians and maintenance technicians.
• Assign daily tasks, prioritize work orders, and ensure adequate shift coverage for continuous operations.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
• Manage contractor activities and ensure all work complies with company standards and procedures.

Electrical Systems Maintenance & Reliability

• Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all electrical assets, including motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex electrical failures, employing root cause analysis (RCA) to implement permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with engineering standards, manufacturer recommendations, and safety protocols.
• Oversee the installation, calibration, and testing of new electrical equipment and instrumentation.

Safety, Compliance, and Reporting

• Champion a zero-incident culture by strictly enforcing all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
• Ensure all team activities comply with international electrical codes (IEC/NEC) and company-specific standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Prepare detailed reports on maintenance performance, project status, and budgetary adherence for senior management.

Operational Coordination and Planning

• Collaborate closely with operations, planning, and engineering departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize production downtime.
• Manage the electrical maintenance budget, including forecasting costs for spare parts, tools, and contractor services.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and enhancing equipment reliability and uptime.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

Education & Certification

• A Graduation or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Professional certifications in electrical safety, maintenance management, or related areas (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) are highly desirable.
• Formal training and certification in High Voltage systems safety are a significant advantage.

Experience & Technical Skills

• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 5 years in a dedicated supervision or leadership role.
• Proven hands-on experience within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or other heavy industrial environments is essential.
• Deep technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), UPS systems, and protective relays.
• Demonstrable experience with maintenance planning, CMMS (e.g., SAP PM), and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
