Job Overview

Dewan Consultants is seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our Maintenance Department in Downtown Dubai, UAE. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in masonry and a background in Facilities Management. The selected candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures using bricks, concrete, and other masonry materials.

Salary Range: 5-8 LPA

Key Responsibilities

As a Mason at Dewan Consultants, your primary duties will include:

• Constructing and repairing brick, stone, and concrete structures.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Preparing surfaces and materials for construction, including mixing mortar, cutting bricks, and leveling foundations.
• Ensuring work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on existing structures.
• Collaborating with construction teams and other tradespeople.
• Operating masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following:

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in masonry (1-3 years).
• Strong knowledge of brick, stone, and concrete work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Proficiency in using masonry tools and equipment.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials.
• Attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
• Basic understanding of construction safety protocols.

Education & Certifications

• Diploma or Graduation in a relevant field (e.g., Construction, Civil Engineering).
• Certification in masonry or related vocational training is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in Facilities Management or construction projects.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position involves working in a dynamic construction environment with the following conditions:

• Frequent outdoor work exposed to varying weather conditions.
• Manual lifting of heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Usage of protective gear (hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, etc.).
